Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing, a leading Michigan-based manufacturer and ESOP employer, is seeking a welder to join Plant 4 in Holland, MI.

You will read blueprints, set up TIG/MIG/STICK welding, and perform related fabrication tasks, while maintaining quality and safety.

This role requires 3+ years welding experience, HS diploma; weekend availability may be needed; strong teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Three or more years of related welding experience.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently.
• Able to read blueprints.
• Experience with TIG, MIG, stick welding, riveting, and soldering; and with calipers and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and work orders to plan welding operations.
• Set up and operate welding equipment to weld, repair, or fabricate parts.
• Perform seam finishing, fit-up, drilling and tapping as needed.
• Move materials with forklifts or cranes and maintain workspace safety.
• Complete standard job sheets and report material discrepancies.
• Maintain tools, gauges, and equipment in clean, safe condition.
• Rotate through duties to support plant flow and meet customer needs.
