Job summary

Kelvion is seeking a Weld Engineer to lead the development of compliant welding procedures and manage welder qualifications. This role is crucial in ensuring quality during manufacturing processes and involves regular communication with engineering and customers.

Qualifications

• Proficient in ASME BPVC welding standards and welding metallurgy.
• Able to calculate weld consumables and maintain qualification reports.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with engineering and customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop new welding procedures and coordinate welder qualifications.
• Review and assign welding procedure specifications.
• Maintain welding qualification databases and pressure equipment certification.

Skills

Working knowledge of ASME BPVC Section VIII, Division 1

Working knowledge of AWS D1.1

Ability to perform basic engineering strength calculations

Familiarity with AutoCAD

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Education

At least 1 year of post-high school education related to welding
