Job summary

KinderCare in Decatur, IL is seeking an Assistant Center Director to support the Center Director in leading teaching staff, engaging families, and meeting enrollment, accreditation, and operational goals.

You will partner with parents to provide high-quality care, uphold developmentally appropriate practices, and ensure compliant daily operations. Candidates should have at least two years in early childhood education and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least two years of early childhood education experience and understanding of developmentally appropriate practices.
• Excellent administrative, organizational, verbal, listening, and communication skills.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Meet state specific guidelines for the role.

• Physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
• Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English
