Job summary

United States Cold Storage, Inc. is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to professionally communicate with drivers and team members and support check-in/check-out procedures using radios. You will verify paperwork, record temperatures and seal numbers, and ensure the yard is accurately updated.

The role requires 1–3 years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work 7:00AM–3:30PM in a full-time, non-exempt capacity. Equal opportunity employer.

The Job Details

• Professionally and courteously communicate with drivers and team members.
• Responsible for providing assistance to the Shipping/Receiving Clerks during driver check-in and check-out procedures using a radio or other forms of communication.
• Check in and out all drivers, services providers, contractors, or visitors that are on the property and direct them to their appropriate area.
• Ensure all paperwork is accurate and completed in full.
• Place driver's identification information and/or seal numbers in the system.
• Report the condition of the trailers at the time of arrival and departure.
• Accurately report the temperature of all trailers.
• Verify seal numbers on trailers entering and leaving the facility.
• Follow company policies, guidelines, and work instructions.
• Perform check-in and check-out procedures in all weather conditions, taking appropriate safety precautions as needed.
• Ensure the yard management program is accurately updated if needed.

What We Are Looking For

Education
