Job summary

MUSC Wellness Center in Charleston seeks student employees to supervise the fitness areas, helping ensure member safety and enhance the gym experience.

Responsibilities include overseeing weight room and cardio areas, delivering friendly customer service, assisting with equipment cleaning, and supporting checkout of equipment, opening/closing duties. Applicants must be current MUSC students and can obtain CPR/AED certification within 60 days. This hourly, temporary role offers 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be a current MUSC student.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/AED certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the weight room and cardio area to help maintain member safety.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
• Assist with cleaning exercise equipment and maintaining a tidy facility.
• Assist members in checking out equipment to meet exercise needs.
• Support opening and closing tasks as required.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.
