Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Weight Loss Physician on a per diem basis in Danvers, MA. You will participate in a multidisciplinary Weight Management Team to provide patient-centered care and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities include medical evaluations, treatment planning with pharmacotherapy, and coordinating care within EHR systems such as Epic. Massachusetts license and DEA/MCSR registration are required.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certification/Eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or related specialty.
• Specialized training or experience in Obesity Medicine preferred (e.g., American Board of Obesity Medicine certification).
• Active, unrestricted Massachusetts Medical License and DEA/MCSR registration.

Responsibilities

• Medical Evaluation: Conduct initial and follow-up visits, history, physicals, and lab review.
• Treatment Planning: Create and adjust medical weight loss plans and prescribe FDA-approved weight loss pharmacotherapy.
• Co-Morbidity Management: Manage metabolic conditions commonly associated with obesity (e.g., Type 2 diabetes, hypertension).
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work with Dietitians, Behavioral Health Specialists, and Exercise Physiologists.
• Documentation: Maintain timely records in the EHR (Epic).
