Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a cashier for full-time work at our Hyannis, MA location. You will handle member purchases, manage various payment types, and assist customers at the front line with friendly, efficient service.

Responsibilities include scanning items, renewing memberships, and maintaining a clean, welcoming front-end area while upholding BJ’s standards for service and safety.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills preferred.
• Prior cashier or sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner, including verifying, renewing, upgrading memberships.
• Scans merchandise through a point-of-sale system to ensure accurate totals and inventory.
• Collects payments via cash, check, or other charge payments from members.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the frontline department and assists with club housekeeping.
• Delivers service excellence and resolves member concerns to deescalate issues.
