Job summary

Mercy is seeking a SE Weekender Registered Nurse in Cape Girardeau, MO. This part-time 24-hour/week role supports the CDU with 12-hour day shifts on weekends, 0700-1930.

The nurse will provide direct patient care, uphold confidentiality, and collaborate with the care team. Sign-on incentives up to $10,000 and bridging programs to support BSN/MSN attainment are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of acute nursing experience preferred.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program (ASN, Diploma or BSN).
• Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Position requires lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 1 year of acute nursing experience is preferred.
• Required Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required.
• Other: Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
