University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Weekender Registered Nurse (RN) for the Ortho Trauma Acute Care Unit. The role entails two 12-hour shifts between Friday 7:00 PM and Monday 7:00 AM, with 1.5x pay for those shifts.

Requirements include 1 year of RN experience, Ohio nursing license, BLS certification; BSN preferred or Diploma/Associate degree; nursing care on Lerner Tower 6 with focus on orthopedics, spine and trauma patients.

Lerner Tower 6 is a 30 bed Adult Surgical inpatient division providing care to orthopedic, neurological spine, surgery, and trauma patients. Individuals hired for a Weekender position are required to work two (2) 12-hour shifts between 7:00 PM Friday and 7:00 AM Monday. In return for this commitment, Weekenders will be compensated at 1.5 times their regular hourly rate for these shifts. Individuals in Weekender roles qualify for full-time medical and dental benefits, whereas eligibility for all other benefits is at part-time levels.

Required For All Jobs

Position Requirements

Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.

1 year of RN experience required

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Minimum of Diploma/Associate's Degree in nursing from accredited program.

License Requirements

Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.

Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation
