University Hospitals is seeking a Weekender to cover two 12-hour shifts between Friday 7:00 PM and Monday 7:00 AM at Lerner Tower 7 (Heart & Vascular Acute Care/Step Down Unit). The role offers a 1.5x hourly premium for weekend hours and part-time eligibility for many benefits.

Job description

Weekender Position

Individuals hired for a Weekender position are required to work two (2) 12-hour shifts between 7:00 PM Friday and 7:00 AM Monday. In return for this commitment, Weekenders will be compensated at 1.5 times their regular hourly rate for these shifts. Individuals in Weekender roles qualify for full-time medical and dental benefits, whereas eligibility for all other benefits is at part-time levels.

About Lerner Tower 7 (Heart & Vascular Acute Care/Step Down Unit)

Lerner Tower 7 is a 30 bed telemetry unit with 9 beds that are capable of flexing to a stepdown level of care. Specifically, our focus is on Vascular Surgery, Electrophysiology and Interventional Cardiology, including care of the TAVR patient population. We encourage participation in our unit council where our nurses and PCNAs have a voice to make suggestions and talk about their concerns.
