Job summary

Sinclair Broadcast Group’s Nashville stations are seeking a Weekend Meteorologist/Reporter to forecast the weekend weather and report three days a week. You’ll produce clear on-air weathercasts, write weather stories for digital platforms, and deliver engaging visuals with accurate forecasts.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology or related field, 2 years of weather presentation experience preferred, and the ability to develop compelling storytelling across screen and online

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Meteorology or related field.
• 2 years’ experience in weather presentation and reporting preferred.
• Ability to tell memorable and meaningful weather stories on air and online.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting, Producing and Presenting clear and concise weathercasts that tell a story.
• Issue warnings and alerts, produce graphics/maps, report live during weather events.
• Utilize social media during severe weather and write weather stories.
• Make public appearances on behalf of the station.
• Pitch story ideas and report three days a week; coordinate with producers on weather content.
