Weekend Warrior On-Call Caregiver

Now Hiring as part of the ComForCare Dream Team. Position covering Lenawee, Jackson, and Hillsdale counties in Michigan.

Job Overview

Hiring immediately an experienced, compassionate and very dedicated and dependable Caregiver/CNA or Medical Assistant to join the Weekend Warrior Dream Team as a fully on‑call position working from Friday at 3pm until Monday at 7am, covering the counties of Hillsdale, Lenawee, and Jackson to provide hands‑on support for our clients in their homes.

How It Works

The office on‑call staff will reach out to you when there is a call off and you will be dispatched promptly to that location to provide care. You must be skilled at using lifts, taking vitals, emptying catheter bags, giving showers, changing briefs and pull‑ups, dressing, cooking meals, laundry, light housekeeping, possible transportation, medication assistance, and getting weights, and any other tasks not mentioned that a client may need help with. You will be working from an app on your Smart Phone that will give you all the details as far as time of shift, map to get to shift, and details needed for care. You may be traveling from one end of the county to another county and back and forth as needed. You will be on call this entire time frame so you need to be someone who has extensive availability and can go with little rest or sleep in between shifts.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience as a caregiver with an agency or nursing home
• Ability to work 2 weekends per month minimum
• Comfortable caring for both male and female clients in homes that may be unclean or unkept
• Professional appearance; must wear scrubs
• Strong availability and willingness to work with little rest or sleep between shifts
• Passion for this kind of work and dependable attitude

Compensation & Benefits

• Weekend pay: $200 per weekend
• Hourly pay: $17 per hour for shifts actually worked and tracked
• Bi‑weekly direct deposit on Fridays
• Required 7.75 hrs of paid Relias training before starting (must be completed within one day)
• Possibility of company vehicle usage
