Job summary

Evergreen-Commons-Rehabilitation-and-Nursing-Cente in New York is seeking Weekend Warrior CNAs to provide patient care on weekends and alternating holidays, delivering compassionate support and assisting with daily activities.

You will document vitals, monitor comfort, and collaborate with nurses to ensure safety and dignity in care. CNA certification and reliable weekend availability required; generous benefits and pay.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing.
• Weekend availability and ability to work alternating holidays.
• Ability to provide patient, calm and respectful care.

Responsibilities

• Provide great patient care and attend to calls.
• Assist with daily activities, bathing, dressing and mobility.
• Turn and reposition bedridden patients for comfort and safety.
• Monitor and document dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Collect information from physicians and nurses about plans.
• Record intake/output and report changes to staff.
• Record vital signs including BP, pulse, temp and resp rate.
• Examine patients for issues needing medical attention.

Weekend Warrior CNAs

Job duties:

• Providing great patient care.
• Answering patient calls and determining how best to help them.
• Providing physical support for patients or residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, - using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising.
• Turning and repositioning bedridden patients.
• Ensuring patients or residents receive appropriate diet by reviewing their dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences.
• Obtaining a wide range of information from physicians, caregivers, and nurses about patient conditions, treatment plans, and suggested activities.
• Measuring and recording food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output and reporting changes to medical or nursing staff.
• Recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate as requested by staff.
• Examining patients to detect issues requiring medical care, including open wounds, bruises, or blood in the urine.

Minimum qualifications:

• Certified as a nursing assistant and in good standing with the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
• Available to work every other weekend and alternating holidays
• Strong skills in effectively caring for residents in a calm, respectful, and patient manner
