Job summary

Virtu Financial is seeking Weekend Traders in Austin to support 24/7 market making. You will cover Saturdays and/or Sundays as part of a regular schedule, supervising strategy performance and intraday risk management while coordinating with the global trading team.

You will work closely with software engineers to enhance trading strategies and keep systems running smoothly, contributing to liquidity and market efficiency in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field required or strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years' experience at a financial institution is welcomed.
• Programming experience in Python, SQL, Java or C++ is required.
• Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude is expected.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and optimize trading strategy performance.
• Engage in intraday risk management for markets and credit.
• Handle basic back office and site reliability monitoring.
• Coordinate with global trading team to ensure smooth operations.
