Job summary

Seco Tools in Reynoldsville, PA, is seeking a Post Grinding Operator to support second-shift finishing operations for round tools. You will set up and operate grinding and cleaning equipment, follow process instructions, and ensure quality throughout production.

The role requires solid mechanical aptitude, the ability to read drawings and routings, and teamwork to meet safety and quality standards while maintaining efficient shop-floor data and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and setting up industrial manufacturing or grinding equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, routings, and drawings.
• Working knowledge of inspection methods and measurement equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare departmental machinery according to Instructions to meet job requirements.
• Load and unload fixturing and packaging, adjusting for optimal operation.
• Read production schedules, work orders, and operation sequences.
• Monitor machine operations, gauges, dials, and sounds to identify issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and adjust as needed.
• Interpret drawings, item attributes, and routings.
• Perform inspections per requirements and maintain product specs.
• Complete shop floor data and documentation accurately.
• Adhere to Quality Management System and safety policies.
• Assist training of additional employees when requested.
• Operate and maintain Cleaning Line(s) and manage pre/post-cleaning.
• Handle materials including receiving, stocking, and dispatching.
