Job summary

Crestoperations’ DIS-TRAN Steel division in Pineville invites applications for a Submerged Arc Welder on the Weekend Shift. The role requires operating a seam welding machine, reading tape measures, and performing daily preventive maintenance on CNC machinery.

Candidates should pass Welder I certification, read blueprints, and have basic math aptitude. Training is provided on site; safety and quality are priorities in our team‑oriented workplace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints required.
• Must pass Welder I certification test.
• Experience with moving machinery such as cranes preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure required.

Responsibilities

• Welds using a submerged arc welding machine.
• Performs a visual inspection of the machinery prior to operation.
• Loads & unloads shells from the machine using the overhead crane with proper lifting equipment.
• Runs welding machine within parameters using predetermined settings.
• Adjust welding machine settings based on thickness and type of pole.
• Must complete on-site training and demonstrate safe operation of machinery.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
