Job summary

Labcorp, a global leader in laboratory services, seeks a Specimen Management Specialist to support the lab, clients and patients. The role involves preparing and triaging specimens, reviewing forms, and ensuring accurate labeling and packaging for analysis.

Work schedule is Saturday, Sunday, Monday from 8am to 8pm. The position requires a high school diploma and offers comprehensive benefits, opportunities for growth and a commitment to quality and patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Act a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients.
• Resolve internal & external customer requests via calls, instant messenger & email communications
• Communicates with customers in respectful and professional manner.
• Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions.
• Provide customer education and information as needed.
• Review test forms for accuracy and report any discrepancies.
• Prepare and triage specimens for analysis.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens as necessary.
• Prepare and store excess specimen samples.
