Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Sonographer for the Weekend Option, Part Time. The role supports the HW Imaging - Ultrasound department and will involve overnight shifts on weekends with an increased differential.

The ideal candidate is ARDMS-registered and has completed an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic sonography exams, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining quality control in imaging.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program (or equivalent) meeting ARDMS standards.
• Knowledge of routine ultrasound procedures and competency in performing ultrasound exams.
• ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography or CCI credentials; ARDMS physics registry.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Radiologist to perform diagnostic sonographic exams.
• Provides patient care with professional judgment and quality standards.
• Positions patient and equipment to achieve high quality images for interpretation.
• Adheres to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Supervises or mentors student sonographers and assists in training.
