Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ARDMS-registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, problem-solving, and infection control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound tests and position patients appropriately.
• Develop and evaluate images for technical accuracy.
• Ensure proper documentation and verify physician orders.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and staff.
• Maintain safety standards and perform equipment checks.
• Assist with procedures and participate in quality assurance.
• Follow infection control and safety policies, and rotate shifts as needed.

This position involves providing high-quality ultrasound imaging services in accordance with physician orders, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Responsibilities include preparing equipment and rooms, performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures, developing films, and evaluating image quality. The role requires exercising professional judgment, maintaining confidentiality, and delivering patient education tailored to age-specific needs.

Key Duties:

• Performing diagnostic ultrasound tests and positioning patients appropriately.
• Developing and evaluating images for technical accuracy.
• Ensuring proper documentation and verifying physician orders.
• Providing excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and staff.
• Maintaining safety standards, performing equipment checks, and adhering to radiation safety protocols.
• Assisting with procedures, managing patient information accurately, and participating in quality assurance activities.
• Ensuring compliance with infection control, safety policies, and rotating shifts as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification from ARDMS.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Strong customer service, problem-solving, and knowledge of safety and infection control practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to shift rotations.
