Job Overview

Under general supervision, the role involves counting, examining, weighing, and checking incoming materials and supplies. The employee will pull materials from stock, put materials away, or deliver them to requestors using a forklift.

Responsibilities include:

1. Moving materials to and from departments by hand or with equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, carts, forklifts, or hydraulic lifts.
2. Organizing and maintaining a neat stockroom.
3. Counting materials manually or using scales.
4. Packing materials in crates and boxes for storage.
5. Unloading and possibly loading trucks.
6. Cleaning work areas.
7. Performing other related duties as assigned.
