Job description

Production Machine Operator

Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.

1. Perform tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines.
2. Inspect parts to specifications and make adjustments or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality standards.
3. Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery.
4. Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately and efficiently, according to specifications.
5. Suggest improvements related to assigned work to supervisors.
6. Maintain a clean and organized work area following Hubbell’s 6S policy.
7. Follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and lead personnel.
8. Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
9. Assist management in maintaining supply inventory.
10. Inspect own work for conformity to standards.
11. Assist in other areas as needed.
12. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
13. Wear all required PPE for the specific work area.
