Job summary

Safco Products in Milford, IA is seeking a skilled Production Technician to support welding, machine operation, and material handling across multiple manufacturing processes.

This full-time role reports to the Production Supervisor and supports the new Weekend Shift operation, Friday–Sunday, 6:00am–6:00pm, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in welding, machine operation and material handling.
• Ability to read blueprints and use math skills.
• Forklift operation ability or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding activities to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Set up and operate fabrication machinery including lasers and press brakes.
• Read blueprints, work instructions and production schedules.
• Move materials using forklifts and other handling equipment.
• Support material flow and changeovers between work centers.
• Assist in training less experienced staff and document production data.
