Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a weekend morning server at Hotel Vance in Portland, OR to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will take orders, upsell offerings, and ensure timely, accurate service in a fast-paced dining room.

We value attention to detail, friendliness, and a guest-first mindset. Must have prior serving experience, POS skills, and knowledge of liquor regulations; state food handler and liquor permits are required. Competitive hourly pay with perks and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as a server in a similar restaurant environment.
• Ability to operate a computerized POS system.
• Knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures.
• Knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
• State Food Handler’s License and liquor serving permit.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders and serves food and beverages per standards.
• Enters orders into the POS and relays special requests to the kitchen.
• Assemblies appetizers, salads and soups with proper presentation.
• Ensures correct temperature and attractive plating of items.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of menu and specials.
• Processes guest payments using proper cash handling.
• Keeps dining area clean and organized.
