Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living at Haddam is seeking a Weekend Warrior to support residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care on weekends. You will assist with daily activities, follow individualized care plans, and document services to maintain residents' dignity and quality of life.

Flexibility to work weekends, ongoing CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain, and contributing to a supportive, compassionate environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Compassionate disposition and desire to serve residents.
• Direct-Care certification or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Upholds resident confidentiality and privacy.
• Flexibility to work weekends and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks
• Aid residents with mobility using proper techniques and equipment
• Conduct routine rounds per individualized care plans
• Assist with lifts, moves, and transport safely
• Maintain skin integrity and care for incontinent residents
• Document daily care activities per policy and regulatory standards
• Report issues to supervisor promptly
• Respond to inquiries from residents, visitors, staff
• Familiarize with individualized care plans and provide support
• Contribute observations to care planning process
• Interact respectfully with residents and families
• Provide physical, emotional, and psychosocial support
• Adhere to residents' rights and report any abuse
• Follow safety and infection control procedures
• Attend required trainings and meetings
• Maintain regular communication with Resident Care Director
• Fulfill other duties as assigned
