Job summary

Visiting Angels of Lake Norman is seeking weekend caregivers to grow skills in senior care. You will provide companionship, assist with personal care, and support daily living activities. The role emphasizes reliability, compassion, and a respectful approach to clients.

Qualifications include a valid driver's license and ability to lift 25 lbs. Prior dementia or senior care experience is a plus. We offer flexible schedules, training, and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Treat clients with dignity and respect.
• Interpret the client’s provided plan of care.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation.
• Be flexible and adapt to new situations.
• Pet tolerance (dogs and/or cats).
• Must be reachable by phone or email for shift schedules, client updates and/or emergencies.
• Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care, a plus!

Responsibilities

• Providing companionship and conversation
• Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, bathroom needs, and feeding
• Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, dusting, and linen changing
• Laying out clothes and assisting with dressing
• Planning and preparing meals
• Providing medication reminders
• Providing transportation to and from appointments
• Helping clients with walking and transferring
