Job summary

Kenwood Health Center, LLC is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the weekend resident activity program. You will assist the Activities Director with planning, coordinating, and leading engaging activities and coordinate with the care team to enhance resident well-being.

This weekend-only role requires at least one year of long-term care or assisted living experience, strong communication and computer skills, and the ability to document resident progress in regulatory-compliant records.

Qualifications

• At least one year of long-term care or assisted living experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to create stimulating programs.
• Strong communication and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and facilitate stimulating activities programming.
• Communicate regularly with resident families and care team.
• Lead group activities.
• Report and document resident progress.
• Visit residents one-to-one as directed.
• Ensure documentation meets regulatory standards.
• Report to the Activities Director on residents' responses and progress and maintain documentation.
• Effectively manage the care of assigned patients using knowledge, skills and judgment in the Activities role.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
