Job summary

East Bay Post Acute is seeking a compassionate Weekend Activities Assistant to enrich the lives of residents. The role focuses on planning engaging activities, supporting events, and collaborating with the Activities Director and care team. Weekend availability and a friendly, patient demeanor are essential.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with seniors and can work independently while contributing to a supportive interdisciplinary team. Prior experience in healthcare or recreation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and leading engaging recreational, social, and therapeutic activities.
• Encourage resident participation in group and one-on-one activities.
• Set up and clean up activity areas and supplies.
• Escort residents to and from activities as needed.
• Document resident attendance and participation.
• Support holiday celebrations, special events, and weekend entertainment.
