Securitas US Business Unit in Lexington, MA is seeking a Part-Time Weekend Security Officer to provide a visible security presence at a corporate office facility.

The role requires guarding access, monitoring security systems, and delivering professional, customer-focused service to employees, visitors, and clients during weekend shifts (Sat and Sun, 2pm-10pm or 11pm-7am) with pay at $20.60–$21.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and authorized guests.
• Monitor and control access to the facility, including employee and visitor entry.
• Conduct regular patrols of the interior of the building, and exterior patrols as required.
• Monitor security systems, alarms, cameras, and other building security equipment.
• Verify identification, credentials, and visitor access as required.
• Maintain accurate daily activity, incident, and security reports.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and unusual activity.
• Contact appropriate emergency personnel and assist with emergency response procedures.
• Provide directions and general assistance to employees and visitors.
• Enforce site-specific security policies and access-control protocols.
• Monitor deliveries, contractors, and other authorized vendors entering the facility.
• Represent the security team with a professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Communicate effectively with site management, client representatives, employees, and fellow security personnel.
