Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Weekend Security Officer in Goleta, CA. This part-time role involves patrolling, access control, and exceptional customer service to help protect clients in tech/telecom environments.

You will use tablet/computer reporting tools, respond to incidents, and maintain a visible presence to deter security issues, while coordinating with site leadership and contacts.

Qualifications

• Experience using a computer or tablet for reporting and communication.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, following site policies and, when needed, emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents and potential security concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, parking, and perimeters to identify unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity and report issues to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate daily activities to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
