Job summary

NSG, Inc. is seeking dedicated Security Officers for 1st shift weekends at a Clifton, OH facility. Duties include patrolling, monitoring entrances, and reporting incidents to leadership. Requires ability to pass a background check and obtain an Ohio security license.

Shifts are Saturdays and Sundays 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week. Competitive $17.50 per hour with weekly pay every Friday; pre-employment drug screen and background checks required.

Qualifications

• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Authoritative verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings.
• Proficient operation of radio or telephone equipment.
• Professional and cordial interaction with the public.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled walking rounds of the facilities, both outside and inside.
• Monitor property entrance/exit posts, inspect property and monitor visitors.
• Contact law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency and report to NSG leadership.
• De-escalate situations using conflict management techniques and verbal defusing.
• After hours, check doors, windows, and gates to ensure security.
• Report suspicious activity to NSG leadership and property owners.
• Guide discharged staff, trespassers, and unwelcome parties off premises.
• Provide a visible, reassuring presence to deter threats and perform related duties.
