Your Role
As a Weekend Sales Associate, you act as a brand ambassador by building genuine connections with customers, offering personalized styling advice, and maintaining an organized and attractive store. You'll work with your team to deliver tailored customer experiences and support a welcoming sales environment. On weekends, you'll focus on creating fashionable looks that strengthen the customer’s bond with the NM brand, leveraging your expertise in styling, designers, and trends. Your role is to foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere and enhance the business through exceptional customer service.
What You’ll Do
- Proactively greet and welcome all clients throughout the store and within the department to initiate the experience and demonstrate willingness to assist.
- Engage customers while building an authentic connection and offering personalized styling.
- Demonstrate selling and service behaviors that develop deep and lasting customer relationships.
- Follow up and follow through on customer requests and commitments in a timely manner.
- Promote store services and handle transactions smoothly.
- Assist customers across various store areas, including the sales floor and fitting rooms.
- Educate oneself and clients on merchandise, events, promotions, policies, and services.
- Use product knowledge to enhance the customer experience and drive loyalty.
- Demonstrate expert styling and brand knowledge, staying curious about all store categories.
- Assist with operational tasks: maintain the selling floor, restock, process receipts, clean fitting rooms, and return merchandise.
- Ensure compliance with audits and Merchandise Protection Standards (e.g., will-call, hold policies, credit compliance).
- Collaborate with store leaders and peers to meet goals and foster a positive team environment.
- Promote inclusivity and belonging among peers and clients by respecting and adapting to different styles and personalities.
- Maintain professionalism, adhere to work schedules, and uphold personal presentation standards.
What You Bring
- Experience in luxury fashion styling or strong knowledge of trends and designer brands, with the ability to translate that into solving customer styling needs.
- Effective communication skills and experience in creating meaningful customer connections to build brand loyalty.
- Ability to move around the sales floor, stockroom, and office; lift up to 30lb with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Customer-focused experience (preferred).
- Hospitality mindset when engaging with customers.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in operating point-of-sale systems and technology.
- Initiative in decision-making.
- Motivated, results-driven, with a proven ability to meet sales goals.
- Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift/carry up to 10 pounds.
