Rooster Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced RN Nurse Manager to lead a Ventilator Unit at a Skilled Nursing Facility in the Bronx. This weekend-only position offers $60 per hour and a 1-year contract with renewal opportunities, plus a subway stipend.

Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license.
• Ventilator unit leadership experience required.
• Experience with airway suctioning and tracheostomy care.
• Strong infection prevention and isolation precautions knowledge.
• Experience supervising RNs, LPNs, and CNAs in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of a ventilator unit during weekend shifts.
• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff caring for ventilator-dependent residents.
• Ensure high-quality, person-centered care and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate care with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Monitor assessments, documentation, and infection control practices.
• Support staff education and performance management.
