Job summary

Qualifications

• Extensive clinical nursing experience is required.
• Administrative experience and training in both nursing and administration.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating care within a health care facility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the nursing unit operations.
• Assist with treatment and medication administration.
• Assist with admissions and patient intake.
• Attend and participate in weekly meetings.
• Conduct daily audits of new admission charts.
• Serve as liaison between family, patient, doctor and departments.
• Investigate incident reports and follow-up.
• Manage staff assignments to ensure quality of care.
• Report on patient conditions in weekly risk meetings.
• Participate in annual staff evaluations.
• Take on-call hours on weekends and holidays.
