Job summary

Onyx Care is seeking a weekend Registered Nurse in Bernice to join our caregiving team. You will oversee nursing assistants, coordinate shift activities, and ensure safe medication administration under physician orders.

Qualifications

Current Louisiana Nursing License (Required)
Current CPR certification (Preferred)
Will be a every other weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants. Plan the shift's services and activities with staff.
Make written & oral reports/recommendations concerning shift activities; admit, transfer and discharge residents as required; provide leadership to nursing personnel.
Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
Develop and maintain good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel and other departments to meet residents' needs.
Monitor assigned personnel to ensure safety regulations in equipment and supplies.
Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information.
