Job summary

The Blossoms is seeking a Charge Nurse / Shift Supervisor to provide direct nursing care and oversee day-to-day nursing activities in a long-term care setting. You will supervise nursing assistants, ensure policy compliance, and coordinate shifts, services, and patient care programs under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services.

Key responsibilities include charting, medication administration, staff leadership, QA participation, and ensuring a safe, compassionate, and compliant care

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree and an active Arkansas RN or LPN license.
• Strong supervisory and leadership abilities are required to manage nursing staff.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, with attention to policy and procedure documentation.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day nursing activities of the unit, supervising nursing assistants.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, regulations, and procedures.
• Plan shifts, services, and patient care programs with staff.
• Maintain Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure timely reporting.
• Chart nursing notes, orders, and discharge plans according to policy; ensure accuracy of patient records.
• Administer medications as ordered and maintain narcotic records accurately.
• Provide guidance to nursing personnel, conduct performance reviews, and coordinate with other departments.
• Ensure patient safety, privacy, and quality of care; participate in QA activities and surveys.
