Job summary

Avir Vista in Crockett, TX is seeking a Weekend Supervisor RN to support the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, and implementing daily nursing operations for residents. This role leads weekend staff, coordinates admissions and care plans, ensures regulatory compliance, and maintains a compassionate, high-quality living environment for residents and families.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills, with a focus on patient safety

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and currently licensed by the State
• Must be CPR Certified
• Completion of secondary education or otherwise able to read and write in legible and understandable manner
• Proven results at a nursing leader
• Supervisory experience or Charge Nurse experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise weekend professional and non-professional staff, scheduling job assignments and developing Nursing Unit priorities
• Plan and deliver care to patients requiring long-term or rehabilitative care, in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Manage facility unit through experienced leadership and communication with the Director of Nursing
• Prepare and review medical records and nurse's notes, assessing residents' physical and emotional status
• Coordinate and assist with new admissions, transfers, and discharge of residents
• Transcribe physician's telephone orders, communicate with residents' family members, and manage patient care
