Job summary

Delmar Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to plan, develop, and direct nursing services for residents on the floor assigned. The role requires a nursing degree, state licensure, CPR certification, and at least two years of direct care experience in long-term care or geriatric settings, plus one year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the floor assigned.
• Ensures compliance with applicable regulations and facility policies and procedures.
• Reviews complaints and grievances and reports to the Director of Nursing as required.
• Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies to meet resident needs and notifies relevant staff.
• Assists in developing assessments of nursing needs for each resident.
• Makes nursing/aide assignments as indicated.
• Encourages staff training and participation in external programs.

Pay Rate: $50-$53/hr.

Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor Major Duties and Critical Tasks:

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the floor assigned.
• Ensures compliance with current applicable federal, state and local regulations and facility policies and procedures.
• Reviews complaints and grievances made or filed by staff. Makes appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing as required or as necessary
• Ensures an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, equipment, etc., is always maintained on the unit to adequately meet the needs of the resident and notifies appropriate personnel of needs.
• Assists in the development of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident.
• Makes nursing/aide assignments as indicated.
• Encourages staff to attend and participate in outside training programs and schedules times as appropriate.

Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor Education and Experience:

• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing direct care in long-term care, restorative or geriatric settings as an
• Minimum one (1) year of experience as a nursing supervisor, preferably in a nursing home setting
• Current CPR Certification.
• Must also meet state requirements for relevant licensures or certifications and have no disciplinary action in effect against professional license.
