Alpine Care of Zion in Zion, IL seeks a Weekend Shift Supervisor (RN) to lead the nursing team during evening hours. You will oversee staffing, medication management, and regulatory compliance to ensure high-quality resident care.

As an experienced RN with strong leadership and communication skills, you will conduct rounds, coordinate with other departments, and drive quality improvement initiatives while supporting staff development and retention.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Illinois.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a long-term care setting.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent clinical and communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing team, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
• Coordinate and supervise the activities of the nursing team, ensuring that resident care is provided in accordance with established standards and policies.
• Conduct regular rounds to assess the status of residents and ensure that their needs are being met.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the quality of care and services provided.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and activities to promote continuous improvement.
• Provide education and training to staff members to enhance their knowledge and skills.
