Job summary
Sumter Health & Rehabilitation in York, AL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Shift Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and support to the weekend nursing team.
You will oversee nursing operations during your shifts, supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, conduct rounds, monitor resident care, respond to emergencies, and ensure compliant, high-quality care.

Qualifications
- Current Alabama RN license in good standing (required).
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Previous nursing experience required.
- Nursing leadership experience preferred (Supervisor/Unit Manager/Charge Nurse).
- Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for weekend nursing operations.
- Supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Conduct rounds and monitor resident care and condition changes.
- Assist staff with clinical concerns and resident care needs.
- Respond to emergencies and ensure proper follow-up.
- Communicate with physicians, families, and the team.
- Support documentation, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.
