Job summary

Aspire Physical Recovery Center at Cahaba River is seeking an RN for weekend-only shifts to provide skilled nursing care in a fast-paced rehabilitation setting. Work 12-hour blocks on Saturdays and Sundays, with options for 7a–7p or 7p–7a, while keeping weekdays open to pursue education or other commitments.

Ideal candidates hold an Alabama RN license in good standing and can demonstrate strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Dependable and committed to scheduled weekend shifts
• Hospital, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long-term care experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to rehabilitation and long-term care patients
• Complete assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Respond appropriately to changes in clinical status
• Collaborate with physicians, therapy, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary team members
• Supervise and support LPNs, CNAs, and Nursing Assistants
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Communicate effectively with patients and families
• Promote patient safety, dignity, recovery, and independence
