Job summary

Qualifications

• Understands and applies the nursing process to meet nursing standards.
• Read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English.
• Knowledge of cognitive, physical, emotional, and developmental needs across patient groups.
• Maintain BLS, ACLS, and Mandatory Reporting certifications.

Responsibilities

• Administers nursing care from admission to discharge with the physician.
• Educates patients and families on health problems and solutions.
• Supervises health care team members including patient care technicians.
• Utilizes computer applications to document, retrieve, and educate.
• Maintains patient documentation and record-keeping requirements.
• Works independently within nurse practice act and policies.
• Operates and maintains equipment safely, maximizing patient safety.
• Rotates weekends and holidays as scheduled.
