Job summary

Methodist College in Omaha, NE is seeking a Part-time RN/LPN Refresher Clinical Instructor to provide clinical experiences and prepare learners for future roles in healthcare. Location at 720 N. 87th St., Saturday and/or Sunday 6:30am–7:30pm.

BSN or MSN preferred; ASN or RN diploma required. Current Nebraska RN license with compact multistate license or temporary permit is needed. BLS strongly preferred and must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• ASN or RN diploma required.
• BSN or MSN degree preferred.
• 1+ years teaching experience preferred.
• 1+ years nursing experience required.
• Current Nebraska RN license with compact multistate license or temporary permit.
• BLS certification preferred; required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a positive learning environment within the classroom, lab and clinical setting and encourage maximum student participation.
• Establishes positive rapport with students and employees.
• Able to teach evening and weekends; daytime schedules may also be available.
• Responsible for the maintenance of equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Records and forwards attendance, testing, and evaluation materials to the appropriate contacts within the Division of Professional Development.
• Be willing to train and teach in all educational roles within the department as needed (e.g., Nursing Assistant Instructor, Medication Aide Instructor, Nursing Assistant State Tester, and RN Refresher Instructor).
• Assist with skills sign-off and evaluations to ensure students are competent in all areas required.
