Job summary

Viridian Wellness & Rehabilitation in Arlington, TX seeks an RN or LPN for full-time night shifts (6pm-6am). You will oversee CNAs, administer medications, and coordinate care per physician orders while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Must hold an unrestricted RN or LPN license in Texas and current CPR certification. Previous long-term care experience is preferred but not required. Join a team dedicated to quality resident care.

Qualifications

• A Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the certified nursing assistants in accordance with current regulations and facility policies.
• Ensures policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.
• Participates in admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Observes changes in residents’ status, notifies physician and family, and documents accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders and carries out orders as written.
• Prepares and administers medications as per physicians’ orders and observes for adverse effects.
• Performs wound treatments as per physicians’ orders and documents changes.
• Schedules follow up appointments for residents and transportation needs as indicated.
• Provides nursing leadership to nursing personnel assigned to the unit.
• Provides direct care skills (colostomy changes, tube feedings, wound care, suctioning, IV administration) as needed.
• Performs rounds to ensure resident needs are met and staff duties are performed.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to meet residents’ needs holistically.
• Reports incidents or concerns to supervisor and participates in investigations.
