Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking an RN for the Cardiothoracic OR on the Main Campus. You will assist in delivering expert nursing care, scrub and circulate during procedures, and support the operating team from prep to post-op care.

Role includes weekend days (Sat/Sun) plus one weekday day shift, 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Orientation runs Mon-Fri 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Full-time status and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
• One year RN experience required or completion of Cleveland Clinic perioperative residency program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care in an operative setting to adult and pediatric patients.
• Perform scrub functions, such as selecting and handling instruments and supplies.
• Perform circulating functions, such as monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing the overall nursing care before, during and after procedures.
• Assist the operating physician with surgical tasks, such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure and patient positioning.
• Prepare the Operating Room, surgical instruments and equipment for use.
