Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room on weekend shifts (2x12). The role focuses on assessing patient needs, planning and delivering perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Requirements include Kentucky RN licensure, an accredited nursing degree, and at least 1 year of RN experience. BLS is required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by department. On-call weekends/holidays are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification required; must obtain within 30 days if not already certified.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia class as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs and develop care plans.
• Provide direct patient care and manage delivery of care.
• Demonstrate leadership and support for quality care.
• Supervise and delegate to PCTs, LPNs, unit secretaries, and students.
• On-call weekends/holidays as rotating schedule.
• Provide care before, during, and after surgery in the OR.
