Job summary

AmeriWell Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one weekend respite care in Manchester, NJ. The role focuses on daily living assistance, community engagement, supervision, and safety for the individual served.

The position offers a part-time weekend schedule with Saturdays and Sundays 9:00 AM–9:00 PM. Ideal candidates have caregiving experience, reliable transportation, and ability to complete background checks and trainings.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Direct care or caregiving background encouraged.
• Ability to pass background screening and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support in home and community.
• Assist with daily living activities (ADLs).
• Promote independence, dignity and person-centered care.
• accompany and support during outings and activities.
• Monitor health, safety and behavioral needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and daily notes.
• Communicate effectively with family and care team.
• Follow company policies and NJ DDD requirements.
