The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Purchase, NY is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric-focused team. The RT will assess and treat residents, initiate therapies, document care, and collaborate with IDT members, with emphasis on independence and quality of life for residents.

The ideal candidate holds an state license (RRT or CRT) and COARC-accredited education, and has BLS certification.

Competenze

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Mansioni

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory technique to maintain or rehab patient with many different respiratory illnesses/diseases.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments.
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in a long term care setting.
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility.
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management.
• Performs related duties as required
