Job summary

Community of Hope is seeking a Part-Time Resident Monitor for weekends (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM) in Washington, DC. This on-site role supports a Safe and welcoming Short-Term Family Housing program, monitoring security, greeting residents and visitors, and reporting concerns in a professional manner.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, reliable attendance, and good communication skills. Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, and Gmail is expected, with flexibility for evenings and

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Ability to utilize computer software such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Mail.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor building areas including lobby and surrounding spaces to deter loitering and observe activity.
  • Sign in/out visitors, document in shift log, and verify IDs and escort as needed.
  • Perform nightly curfew checks and report missing residents.
  • Email or call Program Director/Case Manager about external visits.
  • Complete incident reports and email to supervisor promptly.
  • Assist residents as requested and enforce ADA access.
  • Screen call-button guests and coordinate with COH staff for escort.
  • Monitor CCTV and report security concerns to the appropriate staff.
