Job summary

Community of Hope is seeking a Resident Monitor for the The Aya in Southwest DC. This on-site role covers 4pm–12am Monday through Thursday, focusing on building security, resident welcome, and reporting concerns to the care team.

Work includes monitoring cameras, checking visitors, and logging activities to ensure a safe environment. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, strong communication, and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to read and write reports in detail.
• Ability to use basic computer software and email.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor building areas hourly and patrol to prevent loitering.
• Sign in/out visitors and document in shift log; verify photo IDs.
• Conduct curfew checks and document residents’ location.
• Email or call Program Director about outside agency visits.
• Complete incident reports and notify supervisor immediately.
• Assist residents and screen building access during emergencies.
• Monitor CCTV and report security concerns to staff and supervisor.
