Job summary

NBCUniversal seeks a dynamic Reporter for NBC10 Boston. This multi-platform role requires excellent storytelling, ability to break stories, and an engaging live on-air presence.

You will report live, create packages, and collaborate with producers to develop and deliver accurate, balanced news. Qualifications include a BA/BS in Journalism or related field, 2+ years of reporting/shooting/writing/video editing, enterprise reporting experience, and strong deadline skills.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Journalism or related field or equivalent years of experience.
• At least two years of reporting, shooting, writing, and video-editing experience.
• Experience working enterprise stories.
• Ability to present quality work under tight deadline pressure.
• Live reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Report live during newscasts and breaking news as needed.
• Create news packages on assigned stories daily for the station’s newscasts.
• Works directly with news producers on story ideas and development.
• Present completed stories that are accurate, journalistically sound, fair and balanced.
• Coordinate, organize, conduct and video-record interviews.
• Builds relationships with community and contacts for developing story leads.

Salary range:$100,000-$140,000/annual

• BA or BS in Journalism or related field or equivalent years of experience
• At least two years of reporting, shooting, writing, and video-editing experience
• Experience working enterprise stories
